Noob tire damage question

in between the plies of the threads in my clincher tires, they are starting to separate. the diagonal sidewall marks showed up on my tube. ive only ridden 700miles on the gatorskins.

can someone explain the reason for this? do i need to toss my tire?

Would help to see it. pic is worth 1000 words, right…? Contis are usually pretty durable; i’ve had several that went for years, although a couple crapped out early for some inexplicable reason.
