Non-prescription HGH anyone?

An earlier thread got me reading up on HGH - human growth hormone. I’m only 20 minutes wiser now, but have seen ads for lots of “non-prescription” “homeopathic” or “releaser” HGH products. See, e.g., http://www.consumer-review.net/growth-hormone.html. Has anyone tried any of these products? Opinions? They are FDA approved so I assume they are WADA-friendly? I note that a lot of these products contain the L-group amino acids - just like the new uber-drink amino vital. My sister is big into homeopathic remedies. If I got my hand stuck in a wood chipper she’d probably give me an arnica tablet and some burdock tea.

No it is not FDA approved, actually a waste of money…if you are looking into HGH only the real stuff works
.

“actually a waste of money” - that would be my guess. Just curious if anyone has any first hand reports. Ot maybe I’ll get one of those homeopathic “HGH” sprays, pop a couple of biobuildes, and then sit back in my ab lounger with a nice cold amino vital and wait for the fireworks to come out my butt!

They aren’t necessarily WADA safe, either because of their stated contents or contaminants.

If you want extra HGH take a nap and don’t eat carbs or fat before you go to bed at night. Unless you get fired at work for the nap those don’t cost anything either.

I forgot - adding some 1-3 min high intensity intervals to your training will boost HGH and testosterone levels too.

You can use amino acids (primarily arginine) to induce GH - the only problem you have to use such a high dose that oral intake isn’t feasible.

There’s also another good stimulus for GH release - it’s called exercise

(BTW the link you provide, consumer-review.net provides “reviews” of all sorts of homeopathic supplements for lots of conditions includind pills for breast enlargement. I highly doubt they are an unbiased 3rd-party reviewer, but probably financially linked to the products given thie highest recommendation)

johnthesavage,

Numerous threads on Slowtwitch forum about bioBuilde. Not very complimentary. I like the, “sit back in my ab lounger…” comment.

I presume you are knowledgeable about the use of PEDs and their beneficial effect and what is required to elicit the beneficial effects.

The pills (PEDs) will not replace training and very hard training at that. To stimulate the body’s response to grow stronger, one must subject the body to significant stress. This means very hard and strenuous workouts.
Without these strenuous and difficult workouts, the PEDs are basically a waste as far as improving athletic performance is concerned. But they will still be effective in enabling one to obtain any negative side affects associated with their use. If that is a plus.
