Non plated and soft "super shoe " , do they exsist?

so i have foot issue’s due to CML that seems to be getting worse , but i still like ti run fastest (not as fast as i used to)

still pushing 3-40 to 4hr IM run times (used to be sub 3-30 for 20 years) but all these new fast shoes kill bottom of my feet due to my meds etc after about 10-15k

is there a fast race shoe thats not plated . still supple , but gives a softer ride but also responsive

currently run in the hoka cielo x1 2.0 and love the rocker , but does hurt my feet and the new version is even worse

any recommendations as im sick of forking out $350 for a pair of shoes i do 5k in then they sit in my cupboard

Saucony endorphin speed has a nylon plate (much more pliable than a carbon one). Bit of an all-rounder of a shoe, for me.

asics super/mega are above 40mm, so race illegal

The nike steakfly has the magic foam but not the plate

The Adizero Evo SL might work

I don’t see the point of the Superblast when the Evo SL exists

Dynafish Xianan via China/ AliExpress. $150 landed. It’s like a firmer in a god way Evo SL but lighter and so responsive! Can go slow or fast in them

There are a lot on the market. But they’re billed as super trainers.

My personal favourites are the Adidas Adizero Evo SL (fast) and the Topo Specter.

Adidas pro evo 3 don’t have a ‘plate’

Do you know how the Adizero Evo SL compare to the Saucony Azura?

I love NB. I’ve been training in the Rebels for two years now and because the Supercomp Elite absolutely destroys my feet, I’ll be doing IM Jacksonville in the v4 Rebels. I tried everything to make the supercomps work, but at the end of the day, using the Rebels is still pretty damn fast.

Sorry, no, haven’t tried the Azura. The Evo SL is great, but I must say it would be even better (for me at least) if it had a little bit less ramp. My knees prefer low ramp, up to 5mm or thereabouts. Apart from that, I can’t fault the Adidas Evo SL.

You might really like that Mount to Coast shoe I just reviewed on the home page.
