Non-aero helmet rec's

What do you use? Any help is appreciated. I am tired of my current helmet digging into my brain whilst riding, any recommendations for a non-aero-specific helmet that (in order of importance):

  1. has material inside wherever the head touches that does not scrape and chafe skin (all the pads wore off on my helmet leaving behind that black residue that leaves me looking like I just did a muddybuddy when I take it off)
  2. hopefully can be mine in the $60-70 neighborhood
  3. is sorta light
  4. would not look hideous for the times I rollerblade in helmet required situations
  5. not too un-aero, reasonably vented, comfy chin strap, and all that other miscallaneous stuff…

Thanks in advance

This satisfies all but “not too un-aero”. Comfy, light, and great venting.

I’ve been riding with the Specialized Decibel helmet for years (& the model before it for years before that) & must say it’s the coolest helmet I’ve owned. (not looks wise, temperature wise).

I live in a 100+ degree zone & always had sweat running into my eyes w/ Giro, Bell. But for some reason that vent in the front of Specialized helmets makes a difference.

The prices are high, but I see them on sale right now for $95. Check you size though as I generally wear a med, but Specialized new sizes I wear a small.

I think they’re selling off stock because the new S-Works helmet comes out soon.

This satisfies all but “not too un-aero”. Comfy, light, and great venting.

Or you could try this one: $70 for a 2006 Bell Ghisallo

Giro Atmos is the best out there but probably breaks your bank.
