Just seen a post on Twitter (yeah I know!) that there will not be live athlete tracking for IMKY this Sunday…anyone know anything? Surely that would have it!
it appears to be set up but no athletes listed not sure if they show up in athlete tracker before timeing or not.
http://ironman.com/events/ironman/louisville/?show=tracker&rid=164&year=2009
It would be weird that they wouldn’t have it…looks like they have it set-up though!
I’m wondering the same thing about Ironman Canada. I want to track a couple friends, but couldn’t find a link to sign up anywhere. When I finally found the website…same deal as Louisville…appears to be set up, but no athletes listed yet.
it’s on ironman.com
.
Did anyone get the live video coverage of the race to work?
No video for me yet, it is still loading…not surprised though. Seem as though Ironman video coverage is destined to be poor at best forever
Flanagan CRUSHED the swim (no huge surprise, it’s what he does), and is maintaining his lead on the early part of the bike.
Men through the turnaround
At the out and back section, here are the splits for the men:
1 1:43:07 10 Flanagan Iii, John Mililani HI USA
2 1:46:43 3:36 13 McKenzie, Luke Sunshine Beach QL AUS
3 1:48:48 5:42 42 Niedrig, Andreas DEU
4 1:52:39 9:32 43 Zyemtsev, Viktor Donetsk UKR
5 1:52:42 9:35 14 Sundberg, Swen Herzogenaurach DEU
6 1:52:43 9:37 9 Nishiuchi, Hiroyuki Nishinomiya-Cit JPN
7 1:52:49 9:42 40 Tissink, Raynard ZAF
So, if Mr. Flanagan can hold the lead to T2, who runs him down first? Luke Bell or Victor Z?
And for the ladies:
Maki takes the lead
Maki Nishiuchi has take the lead. Behind her are:
- NINA KRAFT (#25) at 5 seconds
- LISBETH KRISTENSEN (#23) at 2:09
- KATHRYN CRONJE (#29) at 3:38
It worked for a little while then went out. Haven’t been able to get it working again.
Dare I say this but the coverage was better before Universal Sports got in the mix. I never really had a problem before getting the subpar quality feed from IM-live.
What a bunch of crappy live feed from Ironman. I had no problems last year watching Kona race, but trying to watch IMKY race is a joke. I bet I could go down to my local high school, get a bunch of tech kids and put on a perfect streaming videofeed. Live feeds from events have been done before and it should not be this hard. I hope they improve their coverage by Nov 7th. I have been telling my friends that they can follow me when I try my first Ironman. Thanks for letting me vent.
Mr Steve
IMFL 09 in training
was trying to follow my buddy but it stopped updating after his t2. Don’t think he pulled a dnf before the first run checkpoint. kinda weird.
