No Jif Peanut Butter at 70.3 Florida World Championship

From the website:

"Due to sponsorship issues, no Jif peanut butter sandwiches (or any nut butters produced by the JM Smuckers company) will be allowed in the transition area of the race. Smuckers brand jams and jellies will also not be allowed during the race. All Peanut butter sandwiches or other foods containing peanut butter and/or jelly in any combination found in athletes’ bags will be sampled and tested for the unique chemical profile of the banned peanut butter and jams, and violations will result in retroactive disqualifications.

Athletes may also be required to provide samples of fecal matter for up to 48 hours after the race so that peanut butter detection tests may be conducted to ensure that athletes have complied with the nutrition guidelines laid out IM 70.3 Florida.

Have a great race!"

This is getting ridiculous.

4 days too late…

It’s in November.

I meant your post is 4 days too late for april fools…

It’s in November.

No it’s actually in May…the full iron distance is in November.

The Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 is scheduled for November 14th, 2009 in Clearwater, Florida.

Also, this is meant to be ironic. A parody of all the controversy about no Garmins at IM LA, No shoes in pedals at IM CA, etc. Thanks for not getting it and ruining the joke though.

I laughed pretty hard.
