Has anyone tried the new Nike Tri shoe? I saw it at their booth at IMWI. It looked good, carbon, straps on opposite sides so they dont get caught in ring/chain. It should be available now. I need a new shoe, so I was hoping for a review!
Try the Sidi’s. I couldn’t quite fit in them, but wish I could.

I just bought a pair of these on Friday at the Nike Employee store in Beaverton, OR. I get to go their about once a year because I test their running shoes for them. This time I lucked out that they had the new Carbon Triathalon shoe in stock.
I took Tom’s advice and bought them a size smaller than I normally would have so they were good and snug. They feel great.
My observations: The sole is Carbon composite, which I believe is a little heavier than just carbon but It keeps the cost of the shoe down. These shoes are way lighter than my Lake tri shoes I was replacing.
They are Snug, and plenty light and give good power on each pedal stroke.
I don’t see any drainage holes in the bottom and that might be an issue in rain or extremely wet feet.
Carbon soles are very slick!! This could an issue running through transition but what the hell.
I rode 60 miles in them on Saturday and they felt great. No hot spots or numbness, and good power transfer to the pedal stroke. Carbon is nice!!
Everything at the employee store is about 50% of retail so I only paid $88 for them. A deal i could not pass up.
I realize 60 miles is hardly enough to properly review them, but so far so good!
