So if i run in orthotics and i am looking to get either the Kona or the Run one misoul tech shoe. and i want something with cushion and stability for a pronator. Something for the long runs and training as well.
Which shoe is better? (any yes its gotta be KSWISS not another brand)
I have been running in the misoul. Usually I use “sole” insoles. With misole I do not need them, they are very intelligently built. I also pronate, the way they are built you have to use their insoles. Not sure about the kona’s though. For my long runs I still use my nike triax’s, but for transition runs or faster stuff I use the misole. I have used their nuetral tempo shoes and stability shoes. Both are good shoes, just didnt fit my foot right.
No it wouldn’t work with your orthotics. It’s designed to use on of their (currently providing 2) insoles. You would be able to use the K-ona. Given that you are already in orthotics you could use this neutral (Roadrunners calls it midly sability) shoe. Barb
the insole has technology usually found in the sole of a shoe, so if you put your own insole in then the heel sits lower and its uncomfortable. I went for a run like this. with their stability insole i felt fine.
Why does it have to be K-Swiss? Unless you have a wide foot, other shoes may fit better (IMO). I bought a pair of K-Ona’s at St. A’s this year and stopped running in them after about 5 weeks. Too wide and just didn’t work for me, although i used SOLE insoles and they fit fine. That said, they are great looking for kicking around, but that’s not worth $80.
