Newbie Question (1)

Are the Felts UCI legal? I have read that USCF national series will have to follow UCI rules for 2005, don’t want to get a bike for 9 mo.

That’s a good question. Darn, you know, I don’t know the answer…

Possibly the only thing making them out of compliance would be the bladed seat post on the DA650/700 or the front/center measurement being too long. I don’t know though. Probably the biggest concern is the proximity of the saddle nose to the vertical axis of the bottom bracket. That was the problem people were having most commonly with TT bikes over the last two years. I think even that rule has changed, or, you can file for a “morphological exemption” which, I am told, is pretty easy to get.

I wonder if the guys at Felt know?

If you ever find out, post one and let me know. Otherwise, since I need a uci legal bike, any other cost economical options, with great perfomance, that could work out?

thanks

I too am concerned, I had ordered a B2 Frame this past week, and was looking forward to putting it together. I have e-mailed Felt. If I hear back I will post.

Tom has great connections with many people in the industry, so I would think that he would get the answers faster then I.
