I’m sure this should be easy and obvious, but…
I’m trying to reverse my seatpost on my Soloist. Have to remove the saddle which is held to the clamp by 2 bolts. One (at the rear of the saddle) is easy to access and remove. The other is only accessible directly under the saddle. Am I supposed to be able to loosen this somehow? How the heck do I get the rails off the clamp?
You should be able to get to the front one with a standard “L” allen key. It is usually slower to do the front one, as almost all tools hit the seatpost. So you end up going 1/4-1/2 turn at a time.
Once it is loose, you should be able to turn the clamp and the seat will come right off.
Maybe edit the title of your thread to mention it a Soloist seatpost. I’ve only done a Cervelo post once, on a test-ride bike.
Thanks. I’m not sure if there was an allen key-hole on top of it or not, but I’ll try that next week when I’m back–gave up for tonight already.
