!(file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/autoumaortho/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/tri%20bike%20fit%20compressed.jpg) My question is as I am use to riding a mountain bike is this close to proper position for TRI bike??? feel funny like I am sitting on tip of saddle…help
you have to upload the image to the internet, we can’t access your hard drive
.
sorry what a nuckle head newbee, photos are at
and
yikes hope this works…
You look a little stretched out.
A little stretched out
.
so move seat down and forward or bring aero bars back??
I feel streached out but thought it was due to novice in aero position,
what is the average cost of bike fit…worth the money??
X3 on stretched. You say you feel like you’re riding on the tip. I can’t see any of the saddle behind you so you probably have room to slide forward on the saddle. This will address the stretched issue and open (slightly) your hip angle as well. May need to raise the seat a hair since as you move forward the seat height relative to the BB goes down.
man, i haven’t seen a trainer like that since i threw mine out 20 years ago. do they still make those? i added on the double turbine and had some good wind moving. cool.
I think the others are right, a little stretched out. if you bring the elbows back you might be more comfortable bringing the hands up also. the forearm seems to be sloping down a bit.
I think one of the ‘rules of thumb’ for starting out a positioning is to get a string (straight line) to fall from the ear (center hole) to the bend of the elbow. Then take a line perpendicular to that (parallel to the ground) form the bend of the elbow to the knuckle of the middle finger.
good luck
ya…old trainer…beats riding outside in snow and cold…no resistance…but it will work for now
will get the string out tonight …hopefully not get twisted and tied up in it…thanks for all the comments to my post…I think I’ll check into a fit from local bike store
.
Static pose, right? If so, I think your saddle is too high.
yes after several tries, of setting timer on camera, then running and cliping in and mounting bike …hard not to laugh while doing it…some 20 or so tries i thought these showed the best profile…
If he just slides forward it might actually offset the little bit of height problem he has, especially since he could come a fair ways forward.
