Need some help please. I read somewhere (I thought on ST) that the former RD of Lady Danskin (she left Danskin ?) is starting another series for '09. Can someone confirm or deny and did I read that in a mag, where did I see that? Thanks for the help.
Not sure of all of the details but the RD for the Danskin Series, Maggie Sullivan, and former Danskin spokeswomen, Sally Edwards are working on a new project. The Trek Women’s Triathlon Series. The Trek series will have 8-10 races across the country. The training program (Team Danskin Training powered by Heartzones) will now have a new name and be geared towards this series. So far it looks like 3 races are schedule – Pleasant Prairie, WI, Austin, TX and Orlando, FL. More info on the series is at

In Wisconsin, the former Danskin race in Pleasant Prairie will now be a Trek race. Not sure about the others. I originally thought that Danskin just got a new sponsor and became the Trek Series but according to the Danskin website they are still planning on Danskin races for 2009.
