There will be something faster/lighter/sexier in 2016. Wait.
Girlfriend or bike?
I would just ride your current bike. It wouldn’t make much sense to upgrade at this time. Or you could find someone to let you use their bike for the day!
What else ya got?
The p3 is a really solid frame. You will likely get more bang for buck on gruppo, wheels, helmet, powermeter, etc

Whip? C’mon man…
You should wait… since you’ll want the fully integrated disc brakes in 2 years.
Don’t spend the money. Save it. Your bike got you where you need to be. Are you going to win your age group with a 2 minute faster bike time? If the answer is no, keep your bike, IMO.
Excellent unnecessary Kona brag.
I thought this was going to be about the underpants run.
I see a lot of “older” bikes in Kona. Of course there are a ton of awesome new bikes, but quite a few older P3s and P2s if I recall. On the other hand, the most P5s I saw was when spectating at IMAZ, as the sun was setting and the 16 hour folks were rolling in on the bike. I think I saw about 7 P5s, all ridden out of aero…
Whip? C’mon man…
Thank you. Three times in one post.
I think a poll is in order. Post a pic of both the old “whip” and the GF and then let Slowtwitch decide which one to keep.
Or ML’s whip and the girlfriend.
Wait until 2016. Coach SurfingLamb for the next two years and get the latest and greatest.
As per Urban Dictionary…
“When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the “whip”. The whip is what you used to control the horses on a stagecoach, hence the analogy. Many years later, various hip hop artists noticed that the Mercedes-Benz logo resembled a steering wheel. They then proceeded to use the old term “whip” to describe any Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The term has now been generalized to classify any expensive automobile.
The new show “Unique Whips” on SpikeTV is obviously going to suck.”
Whip? C’mon man…
Don’t judge. Maybe he KQed in the M10-14 AG. Kids and their slang…
Ride the horse that got you there.
