I have had my current website for almost 6 years. It has been revamped a few times, but it needed some major cosmetic surgery. Well, this off season I went to work and got it done. Well, almost.
Before I publish it,though, I wanted to get ST’s always super critical eyes on it and get some input. Always easier to fix now than after it is published.

I think it looks nice. Not too flashy / techy but not overly simple. The one thing that bothered me wass that when the images changed it didn’t look fluid or smooth. I’m not sure how to improve this, perhaps fade the image to white (or black) for a frame, then fade the next image in from white (or back).
Got to check it out…
-he’s my 2 cents… music is intense, it adds to the page though… you can’t shut it off from the start page…
-you may want to re-do the FB thing in the top left… it’s pixelly and looks kinda bad.
I really dig the panaramic picture of you in the bike… you could try adding that into the page… perhaps one of the backgrounds?
you may wanto have that little noice thing work only for the main options… not every possible selection you make…
Rather than making it scale to 100% height and width I would fix the size of your content. Unless I manually sized it correctly the aspect ratio for the photos and text was out of whack. Make it easy and obvious to turn off the music. Good luck.
Yeah… I love Sandstorm (that song) but not on a webpage… wears me out.
Check out Rachel Sears’ site: http://www.rachelsears.com/ She usually has some good techno/dance music that’s a little more subtle (and I think she uses that site cube thing as well).
You list Portuguese as your third language, I thought that was funny…
Anyway, I couldn’t find the button to turn off the obnoxious music, that was the main reason that made me leave the page. Other than that, it looked good
I figured once you visit the page once and figure out the top right corner is where you contact me AND turn off the music, I think people will be mor elikely to come back.
Portuguese. English is first these days. I get messed uup looking for words in Portuguese, but am hoping 2 weeks at home will get it back to first langauge status. Expressing oneself in English is just so easy!

you could make a w and w/o music link at the start page. kind of like a w or w/o flash. Or a turn on music button. I love the zoom on the pictures. very cool. I’m not crazy about the blue and yellow theme. the site does seem a bit busy. but then again, peter reid’s yellow site irritated my eyes, etc. and I still read it.
