It is time for a new set of tires and just wanted to get a feel for what others do. Do you put new tubes on when your training wheels when putting on a new set of tires or do you reuse the old tubes if they look good?
go tubular! seriously, I would change tubes, they’re inexpensive. This is not based on any data, just an opinion. On the other hand, I have recently been fooling around on an old bike, over ten years old. Not even thinking about that issue, I pumped up the tires and rode it 20 miles without problems.

How does a tube “look good”? Do you think that tubes go bad? I don’t, so I just use them forever, patches and all.
Nice to get some reasonable biking weather in NJ, at last, eh?
yeah, finally
NJ, I know you are further north, Ken, have you ever ridden Outdoor Club of SJ rides?

Never heard of them. I’m in Monmouth County, and I rarely ride with groups (probably because nobody likes me). Wher are they out of?
Did a 33mi hard (22.6mph) TT ride yesterday, and dropped 6.5lbs in 1.5 hours. I’ll take warm and dry over everything we’ve had this spring.
6.5 lbs!!! What are you drinking man?
I’d offer to get out there and ride sometime, that’s about an hour from me. On the other hand, I saw your time from the the Brandywine Du.
Would you be interested in a mixed realy for Ft. Delaware? I’m on the fence about doing it myself and I have a female runner interested.

It’s not what goes in, it’s how much comes out. Makes me wonder if I can ever manage an Ironman. I once measured my sweat at 1 lb/mile on the run, and 1oz/min on the bike. You do the math for an IM…
Am I going too slowly for you? As for Ft. Delaware, I was thinking of doing the whole thing myself. Seeing if I can nab that series Masters overall title. Are you a swimmer?
