We just ordered some of the new FSA/Visiontech triath-gel saddles and the new Selle Italia SLR-T1 saddles, a tri specific version of the popular SLR road saddle.
Both were in stock, so I’ll let you guys know what we think wwhen we ride them.

Sure…make my decision to try and haggle the Aspide away from CG that much more difficult. How are they priced? And given the delays with other products in the FSA lineup…are we going to have to wait for them as well?
The FSA saddles are in stock, shippable now from FSA according to Matt at FSA who I am on the phone with as I type this.
The price of the FSA/Visiontech Triath-gel saddle is $119.99.
All things considered…$120 isn’t bad (trying to rationalize it to the wife is a different story…lol…hardly…she rides horses and doles out over $400 a month just to keep the thing…I love expensive hobbies). How about the other saddle?
Isn’t the new FSA saddle the same as the SSM Azoto?
Haim
It’s pretty close but there are some “key changes” according to FSA. We’ll see.
I thought you were a Fizik guy.
I’ve got a new FSA Tri Azoto (silver and black) on the way from a distributor. Its a replacement saddle for the Aspide I broke. The titanium rails snapped in half. The FSA version of the SSM Azoto is the same except it has Cromoly rails.
I’ve broken one Aspide and one Azoto. Both times the titanium rails snapped in half. This may have something to do with the way I ride on the tip of the saddle and my leg length descrepancy (1"). I also ride with a high seat height. With the leg length difference and a high seat height I figure its too much rocking motion for the titanium rails.
OH NOOO, UGHH, I already have enough choices. I was thinking about getting the arione because of your review, but now, I have no idea and I’m going to be flat broke after I eventually fork over the money for one of these. But I desperately need one, because after my last half-iron, I had some serious problems with my saddle.
And this is after you totally raved about the Azoto so I was set to get one of those too. Tom what is a poor triathlete comsumer to do
Well, I have an Arione on each of my bikes. AS far as I’m concerned, these FSA saddles are “yet to be proven”.
We’ll see how good they are. At this stage it is a bit tough for me to imagine anything being much better than these Ariones though. We’ll see.
