Kingsman looks cool, but it looks like they’ve way upped the WTF weapons, powers and action in this next installment. I hope they didn’t jump the shark.
Ready Player One. I’ve been waiting for this. I loved the book and part of what made it great was the 80s culture references throughout. Huge nostalgia walk.
One of the concerns I had about making it a movie is getting all the copyright permissions that would be required for all the pop culture references.
If I go by the trailer, the movie seems to be only loosely based on the book. Seemed the bulk of the trailer was made up of fast-and-furious type chase sequences. Could be that was just eye candy for the trailer, but the book was for the most part not like that. Book was much more cerebral in the plot and heavy on character development and their relationships.
My initial reaction is one of disappointment…hope I’m wrong and they do the book justice.

Thank you. It took a lot of creativity to figure out how to get a batman costume to look that good on me.

I have to strenuously disagree with that assessment. I didn’t go nuts over Kingsman, but it was extremely entertaining.
