I just started my new (and first!) job in San Francisco and I’m looking for some suggestions for rides in the 3-5 hour/40-100 mile range, preferably with some good climbs - anyone have any favorite routes or places where I can find some decent online route maps? I’ll be leaving from downtown SF, if that helps. And while I’m at it, I’ll only have an hour or so to ride before work during the week - are there any good rides close to downtown I can do during the week?
Any and all suggestions are welcome - I’ve been off the bike for too long and can’t wait to get out there this weekend and see the area from the saddle.
Thanks in advance,
Adam
Look out the window to the north and west…see that big mountain? Lots of climbing.
Leaving from “downtown” exactly where?
If you mean the Financial District, it will be nearly an hour to get to and across the bridge. If you only have an hour, find a good spin class or if you are near the Presidio, you can do a good hour of hills in there.
