Where should I ride? (I live in North Portland on Rosa Parks Way, just moved here)
What are some good shops around here that have a lot of stuff (I was thinking Performance and Universal Cycles).
Anything else I should know?
I am here on vacation for the past week and apparently it rains everyday. So you might want to buy some rain gear. ![]()
Yeah, got my trainer down here, so been playing Halo 3 and watching shows in Hulu, but maybe I can get out today!
Get in touch with the Portland Tri Club. They are in the swing of training for Wildflower and have workouts throughout the week. You are in a good place for riding and running; I used to live in No Pdx but, I have since moved to the much more crowded Seattle. You can PM me if you want some email addresses of people in the club that organize the rides/runs.

Plenty of rides around here, West Hills is ok, but there are plenty of other places to ride.

River City Cycles is pretty big, as is the Bike Gallery Chain, and I’ve heard good things about Cyclepath.
Anything else I should know?

Hit Athletes Lounge on NW 26th and Vaughn. The best multisport shop in town hand down. There is also a group ride every saturday leaving at 9:15.
