New site www.gomultisport.com

http://www.gomultisport.com

I wanted to pass on info about a new multisport website. The college multisport association has launched gomultisport.com as a way to develop a broader multisport community focus. This website is user driven and will allow individuals to create their own forums and assume moderator duties for those forums.

The Multisport Association, or MSA, is now a reality. Based in the United States, the MSA hopes to help build and support relationships within the multisport community around the world.

Founder and webmaster of the MSA, Eric Swanson and his company have made every effort to make this dream possible and to offer the resources and services available on this website for free to ALL multisport enthusiasts with minimal and “hassle-free” advertising. As active membership to the MSA grows, Eric will be looking for volunteers to represent their areas of interest within the MSA. In the future, costs will be supported through donations, MSA website advertising, MSA sponsorships, and affordable membership fees. Until certain financial and organizational requirements are met, the MSA shall remain as an unregistered non-profit organization. You are welcome to inquire about how you can help!

ATTENTION: College Athletes!
Many of you may be wondering, “What happened to the College Multisport Association?” The CMSA still exists as a division of the MSA, just as the Collegiate Triathlon Association, or CTA, existed before. The MSA recognizes its roots within the college, multisport community and will continue to offer its support. This website is a further attempt at bringing the world of multisport close together, so that we all can enjoy the results of improved multisport development through networking and team-work.

Why the new website?
It had been 8 months since the last update to the College Multisport website! The old website was highly dependant on the ability of the website’s administrator (me) to manage updates. Decreased availability in my own life was directly reflected on the website. Nearly 1 month of brainstorming and long nights have led to this first news posting. The new website offers members the opportunity to manage updates to many areas of the website. Members can start their own discussion groups for their organization (teams, clubs, event directors, etc.) or for themselves (like a personal multisport Blog).

Why visitors should come back…
If you enjoy the MSA website and feel the Multisport Association is helpful, sign-up as a member for free. We respect your right to privacy and will see your registration as a sign of support. If you are a multisport enthusiast and you would like to see any changes in your sport****(s****), you should sign-up as a member of the MSA and send us your ideas and begin communicating those needs / desires with others just like yourself. You have the power to make change, so participate! If you feel things are going just fine in your sport****(s****), sign-up anyways and recognize that others may see areas for change that you may or may not be affected by (positively or negatively).

Future Considerations
The MSA would like your input! Obviously it is difficult for a single person to offer a high-quality service without some feedback. Sign-up as a member of the MSA and start testing out the features of the website. Send us any problems you encounter, comments, etc.

» Team / Club Memberships
We would like to provide team and club memberships in the near future, enabling groups of athletes to create an MSA homepage of their own, manage their roster online, etc. Your ideas are appreciated.

» Event Directory
A necessary evil? Just about every multisport website out there has an event directory in one form or another. However, I can see much room for improvement.

» MSA E-mail
Anyone want an e-mail address @gomultisport.com?

» MSA Events
With enough support for the MSA, the MSA would like to offer support to its teams and clubs by offering MSA scholarships, sponsorships, events, etc.
