In the comments: “I had a few pairs of Bricks … oops, my bad … Brooks in my early running days”
People that buy shoes in US running stores love Brooks. In my running store experience, most of the Saucony, Nike, and Asics shoes in the running stores are equal at best if not worse than the Brooks models in those stores.
Occaisonally you get some of the faster race shoes from the big brands, but Brooks seems to be the brand so many of the non shoe geeks gravitate towards, and my feeling is it’s really just on average better than what’s available on the shelf.
Shopping online or going to the mfg flagship stores of some other brands is the best option in my view, as Brooks leaves a lot on the table in the lineup. But having a single pair of Brooks in the rotation is a good move for everyone.
Thanks for the update! It sounds like the new features will be a great improvement for the community. Looking forward to checking it out once the transition is complete.
Cynthia Erivo will be running London in/with Brooks
