New SHIV TT

Does the Shiv in the background look any different to anyone? Posted by OPQS on twitter. Maybe a McLaren Shiv?

I think that’s just an extra small frame.

You are correct on the XS but I wasn’t sure if the Black with grey and red S logo was for a possible McLaren version…

Looks to be a special paint scheme for Bert…

Custom stem for Bert to accommodate for his low position.
.

He has removed the pink accent of his triple crown logo

With race is this picture from ?

Is he running like a 58t chainring on that thing? I realize its a small frame but the rings look huge

Yes.

Bert pretty much always runs a 58T chain ring on his TT bike, and a 55 or 56 on his road bike, its the easiest way to pic his bike out. I think Bert is also the only one with a custom paint job in the team as well. Tony Martins bike is also different from the rest of the team but thats so he can still run Pro missile evo bars.

Yes it is a 58t chainring from FSA http://instagr.am/p/Kib32wtEHC/

Very very slick rides!

Is that “hump” in the head tube area just because of the XS frame size?

Is that “hump” in the head tube area just because of the XS frame size?

yes. less stack in the XS, more stand-over.

Same stack in XS compared to S, with lower stand-over height I thought…

nope–XS has less stack. this is part of the reason bert rides the XS, as i’ve been told. he rides a crazy amount of drop that was not possible to replicate on the other frames (S-XL) that all have the same stack.

stack goes down by 14mm; standover decreases by 61mm.

Interesting. Thought the hump was because they wanted to keep the stack the same, obviously I should have looked at the geometry chart :stuck_out_tongue:

That thing is so sleek. I know the Shiv Tri version exists, but would it be stupid for me to forgo that one to have the Shiv TT?

Not if it fits you and you don’t care about integrated hydration or the easier wrenching.
