New rear derailleur for SRAM mechanical single speed?

Do I need a new rear derailleur to turn my bike into single speed? Or will it suffice to change the crank? Any suggestion as to which crank to go for?

I am fairly new to SRAM so would this work well? I am currently on a Sram Red with 130 BCD

It helps to have a clutch on the rd but it is not required. The wide narrow chain ring will keep in from dropping up front
