Just got it for Christmas and what a neat book. This is a new book about Graeme Obree and talks about his “mad” life. I’m only on chapter two and like it as much, if not better, than Lance’s books. This dude took a couple of bottles of aspirin and liquor in an attempt to kill himself and was drinking water from parking lot puddles as he tried to die. It’s early in the book but it is filled of cycling stories and human intrigue. I like it because of the many down to earth cycling stories and in the end may not be too appealing to you Tri guys who don’t like cycling only books. He did alot of TTing and that may add some helpfull insights to your ammo bag.
I also got the book for christmas and couldn¢¥t stop reading. The book is tragic but gives a great insight to one of the coolest sports people ever.
That is one very dark book. It is a stark expression of one man’s total lack of self-worth. A very easy yet difficult read, it must have been either agonising or a cathartic experience to write.
