looks cool but probably too hot with no vents.
I’d want to see some legit aero data first before buying one. Apparently you can get the same thing by covering over the vents on your regular helmet. On cooler days I’ve use that clear window insulation that you blow dry on. On a hot day I’ll gladly give up a small aero advantage in favor of the ventilation.
I ride a lot in the winter in near and sub-freezing temps. Covering the vents of my Giro would be just the ticket for those type of rides. What kind exactly of clear window insulation is that? Approx. how does one apply it? How easily and completely can it be removed? Thanks.
For a 40k TT or sprint Tri guy/gal. . .probably ok. . .jury is out on aero properties until measurements are made
For an Oly and up Tri guy/gal. . .probably too damn hot. There appears to be ZERO ventilation in these helmets.
I used an LG with face shield for a 1/2 IM and a sprint last year. Too damn hot for me. And those have vents in the front. . .small, but vents nonetheless.
Still, it shows promise that we will see real protective helmets that provide the benefit of Lance’s Rev series. . .

"What kind exactly of clear window insulation is that? "
Don’t know what it’s called but you can pick it up in any hardware store if you live in a colder climate. You normally apply it around window frames in winter. Very easy to put on and remove. Tape it and then any hair dryer will shrink wrap it to a tight fit.
