New P3 without Maguara brakes

Has anyone built up a new P3 without the Maguara brakes but with the Shimano brake/shifter lever combo and stock Ultegra brakes?

I am interested in one but really want shifting on the base bar as well as on the extension bar ends.

Is there any downside to this?

It should just be your average brake setup when using the ultegra. The downside would be losing the awesome Mag braking power.

Does anyone have any idea what the resale value of takeoff ie new Maguara RT6 brakes and levers typically has been?
