It looks exactly like the HED bar. Anybody know anything about it? Material, weight, price, availability? Or, if it is in fact the same bar?

Where is it on that page? If it is the orginal OVAL aero bar it does look something like the HED because John Cobb helped design them both. The HED is lighter and more aero, but not much, the OVAL is quite a bit cheaper. ($500 as compared to $295) The OVAL is an alloy while the head is carbon and other “stuff.” I would tend to guess the OVAL is more likely to be available through www.bicyclesports.com than the HED because rumor has it HED has been running a little late this season.

Oval is supposedly coming out with a carbon fiber bar… picture on their webpage, it pretty much looks exactly like the HED bar. Oval also has an alloy aerobar, which looks nothing like the HED bar.
here’s the link again. it most definitely isn’t the first bar they came out with. this one has the forward sweeping base. it looks exactly like the HED. hope it’s cheaper.
