New ORDU @ TDF

Check out the new Ordu. Despite the critics, it looks like you can get plenty steep…

…cause UCI riders are allowed to ride as steep as triathletes
.

Thanks for the pic, I looked for it everywhere! AWESOME position!

Bit of a belly on the first guy…!

I have to admit the 2007 version of that bike is just sick looking. I was not a big fan of the first version, but the new one is beautiful!

I suspect Haimar is just taking in a deep breath as his 1.79M height and 67kg weight don’t allow for much of a belly (5’10", 148 pounds)

suprised those aero gurus aren’t all over his bracelet and kit.

i want one now!!! super nice looking and yes… you can get pretty steep on these nice machine

I’m guessing the new seat post really lets you push your saddle forward? Hard to tell what the rest of the geometry from their site.

I saw one (black) at NYC expo, nothing really different than the previous model, just looked like cosmetic (or maybe more) difference with the sharp edges. Maybe the material was different I don’t know but they are going the way Felt went. Adding all the expensive Zipp components and putting a $7000 sticker price for a $2000 frame.
I really wanted to see the white one because I was really curious about the finish whenther it is a paint or a naked white carbon like Bianchi.

the old seat post also…

if you use a long seat and rails like a arione… you can get at least 3cm in front of the BB… that s a lot as it s for me over 80 degres angle…

Also, don’t forget that the Guys in the TdeF obviously are using the straight UCI legal seat post, as opposed to the steeper one with the kink.

from what i say a few days ago and talking with orbea, there is only one seat post now… not 2… and there is 2 options for the seat, forward or rear… so a lot more simple but like you said, they must be using the rearward position in the tour de france.

You sure that isn’t an Oreo?

The extra length of the Arione is all rearward. There is no extra length going for going forward on it vs. an SLR, etc.

I'd be very surprised if the Orbea was as aero as the Felt...

Me too. It’s a great looking bike, but some shapes are a bit questionable.

It does get my vote for best looking bike to mount on a wall in your apartment, though! That would be a wicked “sculpture”!

yep…you are right… i had both saddle and most of the arione extra is rearward, but i also have a different arione model with a 21cm play between the rear of the rail and the tip of it… that s what i use right now…

and are you unaware that since this weekend, orbea is the best bike in the world???

Does this mean you want to race me around the Waddling Dog?

Man, I will tell you those are two of the nicest photos I have ever seen. Awesome. Cool looking bike too.
