Here you go.
DO you need the retro Flurescent Yellow Vino frames too? ![]()
I’ve had my radar’s for nearly two months now and… The new phobic lenses make the Radar’s worth the price of gold. Especially if you’re a heavy sweater and your lenses usually are covered and streaked from sweat. However, they still don’t fit as well as the M-frames for me. I hope they produce the M-frame lense in the phobic material soon. Although I’m not sure they will becuase they’d just sell fewer Radars. I know they have the treater for the M-frame lense but I doubt it works too well. Maybe I’ll try it at some point.
I agree about the radar fit. I much prefer the Flak Jacket. They have the same hydrophobic lenses.
BTW, I use the hydrophobic solution that Oakley sells - it’s essentially RainX, and is good for one ride or so. When you clean the lenses, you need to reapply.
My Pro-M’s are now my backup glasses as I loe the two pair of radars I have for cycling and running. If I wer still playing softball or football, I would wear my Pro-M’s as they are much better fitting when being “jostled” or whatnot.
The only issue I have with the Radars is the paint chipping/peeling off of the frame on the nosepiece when changing the lens. It’s a warranty issue, but a hassle nonetheless.

I was just about to order some of that Oakley lens solution. Good for only one ride you say? What a waste of time. I like the radars I have, and I love the hydrophobic effect, but if they made some M frame lenses with that treatment I would probably never wear my radars again. I guess that’s why they won’t do it!!!

Well then, that raises a question for me. Could one put RainX on their lenses, or has anyone tried that?
I agree 100%
I’ve used the half jackets for years - just got some new Flak Jackets with the fire iridium lenses with hydrophobic coating. Wow! That stuff really works! Yes, I tested it with various stuff like their add online and I’ll be damned it didn’t work like a charm. Just did a 102 miler yesterday in the hills, sweating like a pig, and they were streak free. Biked another 20 today followed by a hot 14 mile run - yup, clear as a bell. I’m impressed. They fit MUCH better than the large Radars.
2 big thumbs up, even for the price.
