New(?)multisport seatpost-pretty cool

This is the new(to me anyway) multi position seatpost called the Halo from Aerus. I had the opportunity to do a fit for a client on a new Blue T.12 time trial bike with this post on it. The post allows for three different rail clamp positions. Set back, nuetral and forward. It is super easy to adjust and switch. I was able to check the client in all three positions quickly and easily to determine the best set up for him. Once I got used to the mechanism, it took me all of a minute to switch between placements.

The version I was working on was an aero design integral to the bike seat tube, but they have a production model available in 27.2 in a variety of lengths.

I figured some here would be interested in seeing this, so here you go.http://tinypic.com/5aowfn

The rail clamp attaches to the post through one of the three large holes at the top. IMO, a pretty cool design.

Disclaimer, I am not the sales rep for this product, nor will I be getting anything out of increased sales, I was just an impressed bike fitter. I’m not even sure where you can get this down south of the border. For anyone here in Canada, if you are interested, email me and I can get you in touch with the guy who knows who is stocking these.
