I have a talon and cannot figure out why you would want a Carbon aero seatpost.

The only differences i see is in weight: 260 g (carbon) vs. 340 (alu) and price (150/carbon vs 84/alu) A whopping 80 grams savings for 66 bucks.
I guess i you THINK that you are faster with a carbon seatpost then you are faster. I just don’t see why everyone gets all excited about carbon seatposts.
Your point of weight is not the reason. We (Kestrel owners) wanted an aero carbon seatpost and Kestrel listened. Besides, with the Kestrel EMS bars the bike is stunning.
Saw one in person last week. Very nice looking seatpost. Worth the money in my opinion. A regular round seatpost takes away from the nice lines of the bike. I agree that the weight difference is not a big deal (kinda like the P3SL over a P3). Nice “bling bling” factor though.

Good point - a carbon bike deserves a nice carbon post.
Don’t worry I am sure that I’ll succumb to the carbon post too.
I find the carbon seatpost absorbs more vibration than aluminium. The ride on my bikes is much smoother and my butt feels better after longer rides with carbon.
