New K-swiss Racing Flats (PIC)

I was browsing the pictures from the MIT race down in Miami and came across this photo. Are these the new K-Swiss racing flats? Chris Lieto was wearing these during the race. You can click on the picture to get a closer look.

@Slowman, Herbert: I try, I try, I try!!

Asthma inhaler?! Thought that was not a legal item to have sitting in transition. Correct me if i’m wrong - I thought the rule was that you can use one, but you can’t have it sitting in transition…Jimmy???

I’m not sure about the asthma inhaler in transition rule…

be nice if they are out soon, looks like they are nice shoes!

Yeah they do look nice, On the close-up pic they look really breathable…i wonder how light they are

Since you have a link to the website www.bodyzen.com, why don’t you ask your athlete Matty Reed since he is sponsored and one of the pair of shoes in the picture are his??? After all, you are his agent, right???

Actually i am not. I am just an AG’er who happens to be coached by BZ. And i have the link there just like all other ST’ers who put links of blogs, training sites etc…

So to answer your question i am NOT his agent but thanks for compliment!

the blue shoes or the white shoes?

if the blue ones are k-swiss, what are the white ones?

Yeah the blue ones are the k-swiss shoes. I’m guessing they’re un-released and i don’t know much about them. I’m hoping someone else does.

The white ones are the Nike Streak XC’s

Nike Streak XC’s with the logos removed and blacked out.

this is my first post here but thought i might be able to answer this post. the blue shoes are the new kswiss racing flats that will be launching in Kona. Chris Lieto is our weartest size so he was given a pair to test. (wasn’t really supposed to race in them, but liked them so much we let him) The Nikes are Matty’s because his feet are big and his size won’t be available til all the revisions are done from our weartesting. The flat is going to be rght around 6 ounces and will still have a very cushioned ride. We can’t wait to get this one out there. The KSwiss flats are actually blue on the lateral side and white on the medial side. i hope this post helps.

hi kswissguy,

any ETA on the flats?

cheers

He said in his post that they’ll be available in Kona and I assume there-after.

I held a pair of those new K-Swiss racing flats in my hand last Thursday (the blue ones) and They sure look and feel great. There were the test size (9) and I’m a 12 so I didn’t get to slip into them but I’m excited for the day - perhaps by Malibu if I’m lucky.

Ian

shanks:no kiddin’ sherlock!

however, things do get release early ‘sometimes’ if the demand is high enough and if the marketing dept is on top of things.
they should release this shoe 2 months before kona if they want age group athletes to be wearing them in the race.

lieto isn’t the only one wearing them as is kim loeffer and Terenzo bozzone.

ian, i don’t think lieto is a size 9. they must have other sample sizes. if u come across a 9.5 let me know, that’s my k-ona size

That would be pretty sweet if they came out early!!

Here’s a pic of Chris using them at Today’s SVODT race:

thats a pretty awesome pic cuase of the fact that you got so close, did you have a media pass by the way? For the shoes I’m much more of a nike guy especially the Bowerman Series and in my opinion those streak XCs are lighter and better ventilation becuase of the mesh they’re made of.
