Found these Eurobike pics of new QRoo color-ups:
Are those bikes designed for teenage girls?
ChiCquilo…cmon now!
Lucero LITE… I like it, it means lite on the logos.
Maybe it’s me, but the QR bikes are looking worse and worse every year. I remember thinking the first Luceros and Seduzas were the best looking bikes out there…
Interesting choice too to have a guy praying in the background.
Looks like the Lucero LITE has a HED Jet/HED Deep wheelset from about 1998. Decent wheels, but I don’t know if I’d slap 'em on a flagship bike for 2008.
The pink one matches Chip’s helmet perfectly.
HAHA, I was thinking the same thing when I saw that. Something like, “Hey, I could find that wheelset on eBay for about $300.”
The Lucero Lite looks like the same frame as the Seduza. It doesn’t match the frame of the '07 Lucero. The seatstays intersect the seattube at a lower point and the headtube is longer just like the Seduza/Caliente. Also the fork has changed. Does ‘Lite’ mean there will be a standard version as well? That may explain the frame change. Also, I read that there may be a Lucero Ti version in 2008. Any other pics on these? Thanks for sharing them!

Here’s a pic of the 2008 Lucero. It looks like the Lucero Ti, but it doesn’t say “Lucero Ti” anywhere on the frame. So I presume that “Lucero” now means the Ti version and “Lucero Lite” is the carbon version. Whatever. I liked the new graphics when they launched last year, but the look is starting to wear off on me. I’m really glad I got a 2006 Tequilo with the traditional QR graphics.
The only thing I really like on these show bikes are the new Hed bars…they look really clean…
I’m very happy that I got an 07 Lucero. Whew!
The bike pictured here is clearly the Lucero Ti and not the Lucero. From what I have heard the Lucero, Caliente and Seduza have not changed at all from what they looked like earlier.
Lets clear a few points up here for all:
The Lucero Lite is 100 gms lighter than the Lucero.
The Lucero was not there as we had to be frugal on our bike choices due to space etc.
The Lucero as it stands stays in the line.
The Dulce is a women’s Seduza with Narrow base bar, shorter tri bar, shorter cranks and compact chainsets…oh! and women’s spcific tri saddle.
The “ChiCuilo” is the female Kilo if you like, same smaller specs for bars and cranks along with F.I.S.T. specific geometry.
The color schemes were selected by female triathletes from a widespread group that we use of both in-experienced and experienced…even some slowtwitchers.
The Titanium Lucero does say “Ti” on it but the light did not allow in the images. Did any of you notice the special wheels on the “Lucero Ti” Anyone wonder why they were not inflated? The wheels on the Lucero lite were a new “Stinger” from our “hed” brothers, How many other companies as spec are going to offer a 90mm rear and 60mm front…? i know you will if they exist tell me.Thanks all for listening, and you know where we are if you need us.
Deano
Herbert…XX i love you.
They are very nice looking bikes.
Colors and graphics look great!
That looks like a full 2008 HED lineup, - All carbon disk, new stinger front, and the 3 piece bar. Sweet looking stuff…
I still prefer the looks of the old quintana roo … But I would like the new carbon frame … difficult decision ![]()

Green would have been better…
Thanks, Deano for the input. I’m liking the logos of the ‘Lite’, but loving me some ‘Ti’. Any info on pricing?
I am a lil confused with the Lucero lineup now. We have the Lite, Lucero, and TI versions. Why? For only 100 grams I’m not sure of the reason for an entirely seperate frameset. Are there geometry differences? The Lite looks like the '06 Lucero frame/fork with new paint. I appreciate any additional info you can provide.
I do like seeing the SRAM aero shifters matched to the black/silver/lime paint. I’m going SRAM on my next frame and was wondering how the red will look on the new Lucero. The wheelsets are lookin’ sharp as well. No air means no way to ride away.
