This is an impressive bike. Likely, the ride quality may be even more impressive. Also, considering what you get, it is a fair price compared to other ultra-lightweights and likely more durable for real-world use.
ABG and Litespeed appear to have made four years progress between '05 and '06 in only one season. Impressive.
Mario got replaced ???

It looks fantastic and I agree on the inherent value. It is likely to be very stiff, too, and this on a titanium bike will be pretty attractive over heavier samey carbon frames.
titanium rides like a dream. Stiffness in different areas of the bike and whatnot just greatness. Screw carbon.
Cool bike. But for some reason I’m always turned off by the sloping top tube. Reminds me of a chick bike.
sloping top tube…
Reminds me of a BMX bike or mtn. bike. Both of which I have a fond memory of.
I’m just the opposite. I don’t give bikes with a horizontal top tube a 2nd look. They look ordinary and old fashion. Given current offerings I don’t expect to ever own another bike with a horizontal top tube. I don’t believe a sloping top tube has ANY material advantage. I just like the way they look. The more compact the better.
Funny, I feel the same way, but I don’t know why. I can get over the semi-compact design (like the new Vortx or the Cervelo Soloist), but I still prefer the traditional horizontal top tube.
But geez, 1.7 lbs for a medium frame! That is about the same as a wheelset WITHOUT the tires! My aerobar set up with shifters and brake levers weighs about the same as the entire frame. And a lifetime warranty to boot. Wow. But then again, $4,000 for a frame - it better have some damn fine, triple X-ray checked welds by Foose himself
Very nice indeed. I’m thinking, however, that I’ll try and get one of the 2005’s at the reduced price, save the money, and lose an extra pound of body weight.
