It seems someone always knows something about everything on this site so …help!

I am trying to figure out something about my new Garmin GPS ( my boyfriend couldn’t have given me a better b-day present!)

Well, it says you can get Preloaded MicroSD cards…and I believe they can be then inserted in the mini port

Has anyone used these microSC cards for their Garmin vs the regular DVD loaded from the computer?

Is it hard to download from the computer?

I can’t tell if more info is provided on the DVD vs the preloaded MicroCD. It just sounds a bunch easier to stick in a card than to download, etc. But if I am going to get more infor on the DVD then it might be worth it. The cost looks to be the same…

Any info would be helpful, thanks…

i, too, am curious about that.

i’ve been able to get routes onto my gps ahead of time be combinations of gmaps, easygps, and topovision - but it’s time consuming and it’s only routes, not maps.

that said, it’s free, as opposed to the memory cards.
