New Felt DA sneak peek?

I was just watching this promotional video of Felt time trial bikes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCGZIyKL3gE#t=110

In it they show the IA, the current DA etc. However, at some point they show a quick close-up of a DA. At first I thought they forgot to assemble the front brake. However, closer inspection shows an integrated brake with a cover similar to the IA, and the front brake cable entering the stem. This could be some changes for the next model DA!

What do you think, could this be the new DA? It is said to be announced in two weeks. Is this what you want in a new DA?

So thats the Bayonet 4. Announced and detailed last fall.

Also, would you like to buy one now?

Well, there was this sneak peak of something else:

.

You’ve got to look closer than that.
Watch the FRD video on the site.

Yes but did they fix the rear brake?

There was nothing to fix except to instill a greater understanding of set up and adjustment.

Dave

Bottom row of sketches, farthest one to the right… what are we looking at there? Some sort of storage behind the seat tube? Looks adjustable.

That’s better. If ST can find lamb’s coach, this hunt will be over much sooner.

Quick question… and perhaps this belongs in the IA thread… did you guys ever test side force at yaw compared to other frames?

LOL

Super:

Are there plans to make the Felt FRD compatible with mechanical Groups? I use Red22, it is my preferred group and from what I understand it can’t work on the FRD. Correct me if I am wrong

Thanks again

Sure it can. Just drill holes in the frame

I don’t think I will be drilling holes in a $3000 frame. There would also need to be some sort of Bottom Bracket cable guide installed, and methods to secure cable ferrules to the frame so the cable housing doesn’t slide into the frame.

IA could use mechanical. How do you think all the SRAM riders used them?

Not talking about the IA. I asked about the FRD - a road bike.

The IA FRD works just fine with Red22. This is exactly how Rinny set up her IA to win the World Championship last year.

I was asking about the F-FRD that Argos Shimano raced last summer.

My bad

I think i found it,

second pic down on the left. Doesn’t look like an IA to me…

Good find. The odd thing is that those seat stays do not look UCI legal. They can only be so far below the top tube.

SuperDave can correct me if I am wrong, but FRD stands for Felt Racing Development and covers the IA, AR, and F if not mistaken. It is used to designate basically the bikes that incorporate UHC Nano TeXtreme® development at this point I believe.
