Looked through the posts here and didn’t see this mentioned yet, or I am blind, but received an email from Cervelo today promising new stuff:
"It is an exciting time for Cervélo riders. As many of our athletes are winding down their 2013 race season, some of our favourite models have been updated to offer you an even better ride experience. Be sure to keep up as more exciting news will be available on Cervélo.com very soon!
"Coming soon…
Our engineering team is always working on making your next ride better. We don’t just believe in change, we believe in improvement. And 2014 promises to be an exciting year for Cervélo riders with more improved models to be released very soon! Be sure to keep an eye on Cervélo.com in the coming days for big news.
Picking up my 2014 R3 in mid December – soon. Very excited.
I doubt the P5 gets an update. There’s already two models, and the first round of the P5 had so many delays that this was almost the first year that it was in wide use. It seems like they’re focusing on the rest of the line right now, trickling down some of the high end tech to the lower-end models.
I wonder if the next P5 in a year or two would be a non UCI-compliant version.

that already exists
Oh yeah, duh. Sorry. I guess I mean if they’ll manipulate the rest of the P5 frame aside from the front end to make it non compliant.
I need them to release a Cervelo P7 so I can get a deal on a P5 Still haven’t been thrown a bike for next season, we might just go the back of plan of 2008 Cervelo P3 #OLDSCHOOLSUPERBIKE
.
I’d like to see the P2 with better cable routing and a BB30
Routing the cables into the top tube on a P2 or P3 is a pretty straightforward DIY job. I did it, and so did jackmott and some other STers. Add a fast bar and aero brakes and you have a budget superbike (close anyways). Would love to see how it tests against the P5 et al.
I’d love if they moved to bb30. The bbright makes alot of sense but next to nobody makes anative bbright crankset and good luck finding one that is not a take off or special order from a cervelo dealer
Understandable. I had to psych myself up for a couple days and I bought my P2 frame used. I wonder if Cervelo would still honour the warranty for a defect that had nothing to do with the cable modification…
hmm, switching it to BB30 would mean new molds, new production expense, for 0.0 seconds saved per 40k and more likely to creak…
pass!

New S3 is being released tomorrow. I already have my name on one coming into the local shop in a couple weeks.
Joel,
Which component group did you go with? Contemplating the new S3 with Ultegra Di2 but I don’t want to pay $5000 for a road bike. But I like shiny new toys.
