I’m planning to get a Cervelo P2C. And my LBS make me a offered for a 06 model with the new Wolf CL fork for $2800.00 but it does not have the new 07 seat post do you think the new cerverlo seat post is worth waiting and paying $200.000 more ???
I would do it just to get the '06 paint job. I’m not sure what Cervelo’s behind the seat water bottle carrier is going to look like but considering where the holes are located, I can’t imagine it’s going to be more aero than the HydroTail. Also, I don’t like the look of the '07 seat post. I like the clean all carbon look of the '06.
Go with the '06 and use the extra $200 for a Giro Advantage 2 and a HydroTail.
I recommend asking for the Vision carbon R-bend aero extensions. Much nicer and more aero than the regular extensions.
It depends on how steep you ride. The 2007 seatpost will allow you to get slightly more forward than on the 2006 version so that might be a consideration.
Don’t do it for the paint job, as blue will be available in 2007 as well as the red, white and black. So you are saving $200 if you buy the one at your shop?
I say go for it, I heard the new seatpost will be available seperately for 05 and 06 P2C and P3Cs for about $180, so if you REALLY want it, but it then and you still come out $20 on top.
I thought the P2C was standard equiped with the TT fork ??
Yes but the 07 models are coming with the Wolf CL fork.
