New Cervelo S3 seatpost ...options / adjustments

Hi All,

Took delivery of my new S3 over the weekend …what a cracking bike !! …just 2 small issues I was wondering if you guys could advise / help with regarding the seatpost …

1 - the ‘stock’ post is only a 1 bolt …non-adjustable post …and …even with my saddle fully slammed forward Im still 20 mm shy of where i need to be set-up wise …
2 - the ‘stock’ post cannot take the saddle I was hoping to use which has oval carbon rails …

So - am wondering …what are my options with regard to maybe finding / sourcing a 2 bolt post so i have more fore/aft options …and with that post, the ability to accept oval (carbon) rails ?

You can buy a carbon friendly rail clamp for that post.
The only way to get further forward would be to buy an S5 post (or swap with someone who wants to save weight).

do u know the weight diff between the stock post and the S5 option ?

No. I doubt it’s a big difference though. Certainly not something to worry about if your fit is compromised.

quick one …

have done a bit of google searching …not much luck …where could i find an S5 post for sale with adapters for oval rails ?

ive already asked my LBS too …

you would need to ask them to swap out the head
