Gosh, I was avoiding the Clydes/Athens thread, but clicked onto it when I saw 100+ posts. Well, how about us short people (midgets/lilipumkins as other might call us). Talk about a disadvantage, how many olympic swimmers are under 6’ (males) or runners with a 27" inseam. My only saving grace is the bike.
Another dwarf cycling…amen brutha. So very tired of the whippets running past me afer working so hard to gain some breathing room on the bike. On the other hand with all my body fat I do tend to float well so the swim is okay too.
I’m 6’1" and was passed on mile 20 of a hot and hilly marathon by a man who looked to be 70 years old and could not have been more than 5’6". Oh yeah, he also looked to be around 180-200 lbs and didn’t run so much as take each foot and slam it into the ground as hard as he could.
