New bike thoughts (Specialized transition?)

I am thinking of changing TT bikes this winter. I currently have a P3sl. The specialized carbon transition looks nice (as do cervelo P3C and P2C, felt DA, trek TTX). Anybody have insight into the pricing? I have heard that the S-works bike might list upward toward $8000. I think I could buy a Cervelo P3C or a Trek TTX with zipp disk for less than $5000, but our club is a specialized shop.

Comp starts at 2500 - Sworks 7000

If your P3 is a 54, I say sell your P3 cheap to me and get the new bikes.

The article mentions some shortfalls of the new transitions that seemed noteworthy:
1) “Many frames will use small placement screws, which can be adjusted to assure proper replacement of the wheel after removal. The Specialized does not include these.” What’s the deal? Seems like not having that adjustment is asking for trouble. Every rear wheel is going to be at least a little bit different in size.

         2) In the next paragraph they point out that last year's DA wheel spokes hit the narrow seatstays. If that's the case, how many other wheels out there will be an issue? I have an older (non-dimpled) pair of 404 race wheels that I definately want to be able to use.

Anyone have any input on this? I assumed the Spec folks had worked worked out all the kinks and wouldn’t release anything sub-par, but now i’m wondering if the bikes need a year or two before they’re a wise purchase…

Is it me or did the guy who wrote the article even ride the bike? I would like some input like “Climbs Well” , or even “Feels Fast”

It’s a few months old, but this guy at Triathlete mag liked 'em:
