New aero brake from FSA!

Does not look that bad. Direct Mount Standard (Shimano standard). Might be a nice option to bikes that are designed with such a set up.

prettied up A/X brake?

Did you see the pic from Eurobike with it mounted and a wheel in place? Not much clearance to the tire apparently…

Can’t remember what the AX insides looked like.

Did not see it mounted yet. No 25mm on the back might be a deal breaker.

I wonder if they could make an adapter for single post mounts. That would make things interesting.

just a joke mainly. Although if it weren’t black I would have thought that was what it was.

Wonder what the price point will be? Finally some competition for the Omega?

Anyone got a link to the picture of it mounted?

WOW, that is close. No thank you. Sticking with my Omega. Not to be used on the rear with a 25mm that is for sure.

woah. That does look tight.

woah. That does look tight.

To be fair though, as I’ve learned with my S5s somewhat tight rear tire clearance…having that little lip there will act pretty much like a “tire scraper” and help dislodge road debris before it has a chance to work through the tread. Sort of like one of these

hah. Maybe put it on my P3 and it’ll catch the junk before it gets lodged in the cutout…

Maybe they’ll fix that before production? Sure hope so …
Even better, maybe they’ll make a single bolt (traditional brake mount) version. If it stops/works well, it could be a killer product.

That low clearance could be due to the fork rather than the brake. The caliper has loads of room for moving the pads lower.

Hard to tell. Need a straight-on view of the FSA to be sure… scale the height above the center of the mounts. But it looks like it might have less clearance than the Omega.

I do like how it has a release lever (assuming that’s what the gray thing near the top is). That should make wheel swapping a bit better than the Omega.

More specifically…perhaps a misplacement of the Shimano “direct mount” posts?

I don’t have any issues swapping wheels with my Omega equipped bikes…then again, I don’t tend to run tires significantly wider than my rims

I think it looks great. Will def like to try it out.

Yeah, my el cheapo box training wheels with 23mm Gatorskins aren’t exactly the most aero…
