New Addiction

During the Tour I found myself riding my trainer so I could watch the Tour and get a workout done at the same time. I have been riding for 19 years now and used to hate the trainer but have seemed to found a love for it. So much so that I seem to be addicted to it. I pass up outside rides to get on my trainer, no flats, no cars, the weather is better. Something is wrong with me… I found myself looking at Computrainers instead of new bikes… Is there a therapy group for this? Can I claim disability at work for it?? How can I look myself in the mirror much less other cyclists? Please help.

maybe you just need a change of pace. don’t know where you live, but if you’re in the US, no doubt you’re enduring a major heat wave…which is getting old for all of us.

don’t worry, before long, you’ll rue the thought of getting on the trainer. if not, check yourself into the local funny farm.

Yeah, your addiction will wane, especially now that TdF is over… I was the same way a few years ago after one july of riding with the boys every morning for weeks… but after two more weeks of trying to ride the trainer to taped content or live news-crap, I hated it and promptly took my bike outside.
