Neil young fans, today was the day!

Well if you are already Howard Stern fans, you know for 30+ years he has been drooling over the prospect of being able to interview Neil Young. He has been the one that got away from Howard, and of all the people he would like to interview, Neil was top of the list. He has already done Crosby, Stills, and Nash in his career, but Neil is his hero. Well today was the day, and what a great interview. No one does celebrity interviews like Howard does, and they get to be long and uncensored.

I won’t spill too much here, probably up on some site already for all to listen to. But loved the Crosby feud, the Manson references( neil tried to sign him to a contract), and just the blunt truth that comes out of Neil’s mouth. What a great day for radio.

Ok smart asses, corrected my spelling, just too excited… And here is the link;

Is Nel Young the sister of Neil Young?

Neil’s Martin D-28, that he’s toured with for the last 30 years, used to belong to Hank WIlliams.

you’ve already been told Hank Williams is insignificant (as is Neil Young) in another thread :wink:
.

Is Nel Young the sister of Neil Young?

Absolutely correct, and the heartthrob of dudley do right.

The interview probably wasn’t that popular in Alabama.

If you listen to it, you will see he talks about the whole Skynard feud. Not so much a feud as a friendly rivalry, and later they even took a song from neil to show everything was good…

Yeah, but it’s more fun to think there was some bad blood there. I’m sure Sweet Home Alabama made lots of money for them, so that probably helped.

I’ve heard that before somewhere.

And I think I heard him say they were the greatest southern rock band of all time, high praise coming from a guy like him.

Oh man, I love Neil. Thanks for this. I love how Howard calls him Mr. Young.

Thank you!
