Need some vibes or advice on a few used S-Works bikes

Looking around for a fairly good used bike. I started flopping back and forth between a new 5200 Trek and a new Cervelo Team Soloist. Then, now, I’m back into my cheap mode. Don’t want a tri specific one yet.
My current bike is a Raleigh 700 which I put aero bars on, and it’s too small. I’m 6’2. I know that a 2003 Specialized S-Works 61 cm fits me because I’ve ridden one, dude had same inseam more or less than me: here’s a few I have found on the net. I DON’T understand the difference between the 2003 s works frame and the m-4 frame. I know that the Peter Reid fella rides a modified M-4, probably customized I’m sure. But here goes:

I’m 6’0" and currently riding a 58cm Specialized frame. The problem is the ridiculously tall headtube; there’s simply no way to get low enough. I’ve cut the steer tube down all the way, put a dropped stem on it, and I’m still not very aero. Oh yea, the rear triangle on my bike is labelled “direct drive aluminum” and they mean that in more than one way: sure, the power goes to the pedals, but the road vibrations also go to your back and butt (think Cannondale).

If you already have a dedicated road bike I wouldn’t buy another one; you can train on anything. If it were me I’d take that same money and go to your local tri shop and pick up a Cervelo Dual or Felt S32. Ride that road bike to death and have a dedicated tri bike for racing. That’s my two cents, but I realize that some guys like racing on road bikes.
