Family illness (90 year old great grand ma) requires my wife to miss our “family vacation” to IMLP.
Anyone have a responsible teenager who wants to spend half the day with well-behaved 6 and 10 year olds (both strong athletes who have been to IMLP 4x before)…see some of the race, hang at Golden Arrow or town beach and make some $?

When I started doing triathlons in 86 & then my 1st IM in Canada in 93 with 2 small kids I had to deal with this issue regularly. Back then there wasn’t the internet as today. I would go to the library, look up the addresses of local churchs & then write to them asking if they could recommend a local person. I was able to find sitters for the carbo load, day of race, light training & awards dinner. I then used contacts when I travelled to the same races in later years.
