Need help - nasty side stitch problem

I am having problems with a nasty side-stitch during my bricks. I have begun to up my run intensity during my bricks and when the stitch hits me (always on my right), it makes me stop running dead in my tracks. Running through it, even at a snail pace is impossible.

My legs are not faltering so I know it’s not from going to hard on the bike. Mentally I’m still in the game. The stitches hit without warning. I’ve been hitting the salt and hydration.

Any ideas on what is best variable to monkey with? I am truly out of ideas on what’s wrong. I’m on the verge of a running breakthrough and this is killing my progress. It’s happened three weekends in a row…argh.

Every one in a while the stitch get me on a stand-alone run but that is very rare.
