Hi all. I’m looking to get some jerseys and clipless pedals for my hubby. I dragged him out to a SAG ride last weekend and he was probably the only person in a cotton t-shirt. He enjoyed himself though so I’m trying to encourage this. Problem is he’s a big guy at 6’, 270b lbs, wide shoulders, wide size 12 feet. Picture a Rugby prop with 50 pounds to lose.
Nothing at our local shop fits him. The XXL jerseys are too small. The 13 and 13.5 bike shoes were too narrow. (They carry Sidi and Specialized.)
Any suggestions on where to shop or what brands to look for?
Try Pearl Izumi size XXL. It is more “American” cut. When was that weight it was the only brand that fit me well and was comfortable. I think Colorado Cyclist carries good jerseys in extended sizes as well. Try Shimano bike shoes, they have a wider toe box.

I started Triathlon at 280 lbs. I wore under armour www.underarmour.com for a few races. Then I found santini jersey’s that are available to 6xl euro which is at least 3x us.
I have now moved on to sugoi and pearl stuff which is ok but I am a bit smaller now.
As for shoes shimano makes a carbon soled shoe in wides it is the silver and black one with three straps. and I have dura-ace pedals for the wider platform.
