Need advice on powermeter for a BB30 Slice

currently ride an FSA compact crankset on my BB30 Cannondale Slice. My road bike is a Cervelo RS with DA 9000 crankset etc, though I do not necessarily need power meter on it, but would be interesting sometimes. I train on a separate CompuTrainer setup

wanting to move on to crank-based power meter - here are my options that first come to mind:

  1. get a BB30 SRAM Quarq or Power2Max crankset
  2. use a Rotor (for example) BB30 to 24 converter and use any standard BB Quarq or Power2Max

what’s the ST crowd-opinion on pros / cons? any other options?

I have a BB30 Quarq that I switch between my S-works Tarmac and my Slice. Takes me about 5 minutes. Great to have during triathlons.

I use a Quarq on my 2011 Slice. I also have one on my road bike.

I was going to buy one Quarq and swap it between bikes, but ended up buying two Quarqs.

Quarq on my Slice. Love it.

I’ve got the BB30 Quarq (S975) and use it in normal configuration on my BB30 tri bike and with a Rotor BSA-30 BB adapter on my road bike. The BB30 IA that the 975 uses is nice in that the spindle is attached on the non drive side, so I bought a 2nd crank without the powermeter and can leave that installed and just change the right hand side of the crank between bikes, in about 3-4 minutes, but the 2nd bike is always ready to go without removing the spindle from the BB. I’m just worried that if I tap it in and out of the bearings enough they will get loose and start creaking.

I said the same about not really needing the PM on the road bike until I got accustomed to having the power numbers and then did the change on the road bike.
