Maybe it’s just my advancing age, but I’ve developed a weird pain in my hips that’s exacerbated by cycling and running. I need to see an MD, but I’d appreciate some input into whom I should see.
Can anyone refer me to a hip specialist in San Diego who has experience with runners and cyclists?
Thanks.
Greg
Hi Greg,
I would highly recommend Core Orthopaedic, in Encinitas:
http://www.coreorthopaedic.com/
They are a group of physicians, orthopedists, etc., and they have a lot of expertise with athletic injuries. One of their main guys, Greg Loren, is our team doctor at Cal State San Marcos (I even got a quote in on one of their “athlete services” page!). I’m sure they have someone on their staff with expertise in hip injuries.
Good luck,
Steve Nichols
Chris Maund - at the Chek Institute

He’s an expert at looking at your whole exercise regime
.
Your local strip club should have plenty of experts and your visit might be more amusing than any MD’s office.
I’d suggest hanging around used music shops or Spoon concerts - bound to be lots of hipsters there.
Brian Kildow 760-815-0616, highly recommended. Won’t cost you an arm and a hip either !
